The King's Pantry is a service that shows people of the church and community that the church cares for them, not only spiritually but also physically. Of course we are not able to feed people, but by giving of what people have put into King's Pantry helps them out. It is also a good witness and gives opportunity to evangelise to those who do not yet know about Jesus.

It works by people in the church bringing a few tins or cartons and putting them in a designated place where the King's Pantry leader (or preferably 2 leaders) can pick them up and store them in a secure area. Items need to be checked for dates and damage ie. dented tins etc. 2 people are required to make deliveries as the carrier bags can be heavy and it's just easier with 2. Sometimes people donate money in the collection which is dealt with by the office and we can draw on this money as and when needed. Christmas is a time when a lot of extra items are needed.
It works by information being given to us by the office, by the pastor, or by a member of the church bringing a need to our attention. Everything is kept strictly confidential.
Parcels can be given out weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or could be a one off in the case of an emergency need. These are details that are decided upon based on a person's need.
We also give out Christmas hampers, which need to be packed and readied for delivery in the middle of December as they contain festive goodies which the recipient could already of purchased and therefore would be unnecessarily duplicated.
