Our Sunday School is known as The Lighthouse and we meet every Sunday morning from 11am-12.30pm except the first Sunday of every month when we meet from 11.30am-12.30pm so that the children have the opportunity to share communion with their parents if they would like to.
The Lighthouse is split into two age groups, 3-11s and 11-14s. Activities for the 3-11's are held over in the Nursery building and the 11-14's go to the church offices. All the children are escorted from the church to their groups and back again.
Within the younger age group children are split further into four groups according to school year as follows;

Activities
There are a variety of activities each week including stories, games, quizzes, crafts and many more exciting things which are all based on the Bible.
Some activities are done in smaller groups where children will be placed with their relevant age group. Other activities are done as a whole with all ages involved. So all needs are met.
Our Aims
Our main aim is to see each child come to know Christ and want to follow Him with their whole heart. That is to make each child a spiritual champion. Also to see each child really grounded in God's word with verses from His word stored deep in their hearts which they will never forget. For children to be so firmly grounded that they cannot be shaken no matter what happens to them and for the children to know God as a friend and someone they can turn to at all times not just when they are desperate but every minute of the day whether it is good or bad. Making sure that children realise how much God loves them and wants the best for them. Encouraging them to let God become their central focus. Proverbs 3:5-6 sums this all up and the verse from Proverbs 22:6 underlines all of this too.

“ Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. ” (Proverbs 22:6 NIV)
We aim to achieve this through relationships and teaching which the children enjoy. So the children have fun whilst learning about God.
