Joining an In-Touch Group is one of the best ways to get to know people at the Reachout Community Church and to become part of the church family. Meeting in the house of a church member is a way in which people are able to get to know each other in a less formal way.
We place a really high value on our members belonging to a small group!
It is easy to be lost in the crowd in our main meetings. In small groups, we can get to know other members of the church and belong to a small "family" within the larger church family. They are a place to belong, to make friends, to contribute, serve and encourage others and to grow spiritually.
An In-Touch Group is a group of around ten people, who meet every week in someone's home. Most groups meet in the evening, but a number also meet during the day. We have both a Youth and Ladies In-Touch groups. In most groups there is a good spread of ages and of different kinds of people.
Many people value highly the love and friendship they find in an In-Touch Group. At a typical group meeting, people chat over a cup of coffee, perhaps read the Bible together and discuss it in a relaxed environment. They pray together, especially for each other. Groups also organise regular social activities.
The small groups are also another way of inviting non-Christian friends to a non-threatening, relaxed environment if the context of a larger group may be somewhat threatening.
If you would to find out more information about In-Touch Groups or are interested in trying one, then please contact Paul and Jane Groom or email the office: office@reachoutcommunitychurch.co.uk
“ Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. ” (Acts 2:46-47 NIV)
